Important Notes

• Decatur rebates are the lesser of the maximum listed or 50% of project cost. The $150 energy assessment rebate is a flat amount — both Decatur and Georgia Power (HEIP) offer $150 for a Home Energy Assessment.
• If a Decatur rebate project also receives GEFA funding, the Decatur amount is reduced so combined funding does not exceed the project cost.
• GEFA HEAR rebates require household income at or below 150% AMI. GEFA Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) are available at any income level for whole-home improvements achieving ≥20% energy savings.
• Georgia Power HEIP rebates are 50% of project cost up to the per-upgrade maximum, capped at $2,500 per year per household. Maximums vary by heating type (electric vs. gas). Selecting all three of air sealing, duct sealing, and attic insulation adds a $200 bundle bonus.
• GEFA treats air sealing, duct sealing, and attic insulation as a single pool with a combined cap of $1,600 (below 80% AMI) or 50% of combined project cost up to $1,600 (80–150% AMI). The rebate is split evenly across whichever of the three you select.
• The Georgia Power $1,000 Heat Pump HVAC rebate applies only when converting from a non-heat-pump system (e.g. gas furnace or electric resistance).
• Heat pump HVAC systems (*) must meet ENERGY STAR "Most Efficient" requirements. Heat pump water heaters (^) must be ENERGY STAR certified.
• Georgia Power also offers a $500 rebate for ductless mini-split heat pumps (ENERGY STAR certified) through its HEIP midstream program. This rebate is applied as a discount at the point of sale through a participating distributor — ask your contractor about it when getting quotes.
